Reliable non-contact level sensing of liquids in small tanks and drums can be a difficult challenge. Complicated programming, wide beam angles, limited output signal options and high cost make this a formidable task.

To address these critical issues, Madison has developed a compact, very affordable ultrasonic sensor specifically for these challenging non-contact level monitoring applications. With a range of 4” to 70”, the Madisonic™ U4359 ultrasonic sensor can be used on 30 and 55 gallon drums and small- to medium-size vessels. It requires no software installation or programming. Simply screw the sensor into the top of your tank via the 3/4” NPT fitting and start transmitting a signal. With its narrow 10-degree beam angle and supply voltage of 12 to 28 VDC, the Madisonic™ can accommodate many applications without alterations. Its 4-20 mA and 0-5 Volt industry-standard outputs may be used individually or at the same time. All this for only $150.00.

With accuracy of ±0.25% of full span and temperature compensation at atmospheric pressure, the Madisonic™ is a reliable sensor for the continuous monitoring of critical liquids and some solids. It is ideal for day tanks and drums in process lines, small tanks for industrial materials and food and beverage applications. The Madisonic™'s attractive polycarbonate housing is very rigid and is NEMA 4X (IP65) rated. Appropriate interfacing process controllers or indicators are also available from Madison.
