Model C4310: Conductivity Sensor for Conductive Fluids

C Series
Conductivity Sensor for Conductive Fluids

The C4310 is a self-contained single-point Conductivity Sensor for use with conductive fluids. It is supplied factoryset for 100KΩ sensitivity and contains an LED indicator that illuminates when there is no fluid on the electrodes. The C4310 requires a power supply of 7 to 24 VDC and has an open collector (NPN) output, capable of sinking 100 mA, maximum.

There are two versions available. The C4310-1 has an output of “ON” when the electrodes are dry. The C4310-2 is “OFF” when the electrodes are dry.

The C4310 is supplied with a 3/4"-16 threaded boss that is designed to mount in a standard SAE #10 size port (a Buna-N O-ring is supplied). It features 316 stainless steel sensing electrodes and a Nylon 6-6 housing for good compatibility with a wide range of fluids.

Features:
Appropriate for dirty fluids with a large amount of particulate matter
Small size
Self contained
Suitable for most conductive fluids

Safe Operating Load Resistance
C4310 Installation:

1. Apply a small amount of a suitable O-ring lubricant to the O-ring.

2. Be sure that the sealing surface of the mounting port is clean. Screw the C4310 into it and tighten 1/8 to 1/4 turn beyond finger tight.

3. Connect the wires from the device as follows: Red wire = DC power in (7- 24 VDC) Black wire = Common Green wire = Output

All wiring should be done in accordance with all applicable codes and regulations to ensure safety.

All specifications are subject to change without notice.
