separating oil and water)
and Low-Level Floats (for use in sump pumps
and drain pans).

For
special applications, such as detecting water
in a petroleum product,
three full-size Buna-N interface floats with
different specific gravities are available.
For detection of dissimilar fluids that are
not petroleum-based, specially weighted full-size
interface floats are available in polypropylene
or stainless
steel.

For ultra-low-level detection, special floats which will actuate in as little as 0.19" of liquid are available to fit various single-point and multi-point switch configurations. In the case of multi-level switches, the low-level indication can be as much as 0.57" lower than a typical barrel float design. Ultra-low-level floats are available in Kynar for high-purity applications, PBT or Buna-N for hydrocarbon liquids and FDA-approved polypropylene for food applications and general-purpose liquids. With this unique ultralow- level monitoring ability, these switches make more efficient use of high-cost liquids, and an early indication of liquid presence can be attained.
