Ultra-Low-Level Switch Designs
When very low liquid levels (0.19" to 0.31") need to be monitored, a reed switch device can be used. Madison Company’s array of ultra-low-level floats are offered in several standard level switch designs.
The liquid level switch configuration can feature plastic or metal stems for the ultra-low-level floats to ride on. In the case of multi-level switches, the low level indication can be as much as 0.57" lower than a typical barrel float design.
Ultra-low-level floats are available in Kynar for high-purity applications, PBT or Buna-N for hydrocarbon liquids and FDA-approved polypropylene for food applications and general-purpose liquids.
With this unique ultra-low-level monitoring ability, these switches make more efficient use of high-cost liquids, and an early indication of liquid presence can be attained. |
