Madison-Omni® Pressure Sensors with Integrated Programmable Display

The Madison-Omni-P and Omni-P1 pressure sensor models offer the same standard Madison-Omni programmable display as found on our level, ultrasonic and temperature Madison-Omni switch models.

These pressure sensors consist of a primary sensor and the integrated signal processing electronics. The primary sensor is available in two different technologies and ranges.

The Omni-P features a stainless steel diaphragm that transmits pressure data via an oil-filled cavity onto a mono-silicone substrate, utilizing an accommodated piezo-resistive measuring bridge and thin-film poly-silicone technology. With a flush membrane, this sensor is suitable for applications with sticky fluid (such as glue components) or other critical liquids.

The Omni-P1 features an economical monolithic ceramic measuring cell with an accommodated resistive bridge and thick-film technology. The integrated signal processing microcontroller evaluates the signal and operates an analog output beside the display. Since the complete upper part of the housing can be rotated, the cable connection can be easily aligned as needed.

An optional swan neck between the electronic head and the sensor offers easy adjustment and readout. This option additionally ensures the thermal decoupling of both units.

Terminal Assignment:

Before carrying out the electrical installation, make sure that the supply voltage corresponds to the data provided. The switching outputs can be connected as NPN or PNP without any hardware or software settings (push-pull driver). A shielded cable (< 30m) and supply lines (< 10m) are recommended.
