Radar Level Sensors

Madison's continuous level radar sensors provide the non-contact continuous level measurement of difficult liquids and solids that cannot be measured with ultrasonic technology.

Our radar sensors use improved microwave pulse technology to track any target material from the tip of its antenna to the bottom of the tank. And are unaffected by sludge and biomass, dust, foam, oil, grease, and other coatings, uneven surfaces, turbulence, pressure, and vacuum, and provide accurate level sensing over larger ranges.

Single-frequency radar level sensors work well in liquids, while dual-frequency radar level sensors can be used to measure the level of aggregates, gravels, sand, coal, asphalt, and other solids.

Benefits of Madison's radar sensors:

  • Echo marker signal processing, the most technologically advanced pulse radar system available
  • High-resistance PTFE antenna provides resistance to material buildup
  • Can measure oil and water interfaces
  • Can detect the liquid level under a layer of airy foam
  • Non-contact, continuous level measurement over larger ranges
  • Simple mounting and push-button calibration
